This year, four-year-old groups from Mansfield Kindergartens Earth Kinder program joined Up2Us across two sessions to plant and guard 60 indigenous plants along a dedicated patch beside the Earth Kinder site.

Two beautiful autumn days, fascinating fungi discoveries, and a wonderful community turnout made for a memorable weekend at Carters Mill. Participants explored the hidden world of fungi with expert Alison Pouliot, learning about the vital role fungi play in supporting healthy ecosystems.

Students at Merrijig Primary School explored the importance of nest boxes in supporting local wildlife, then built their own for pardalotes. The session combined hands-on learning with an introduction to the ecological role these small native birds play in eucalyptus ecosystems.

Last Wednesday morning, the Mansfield Botanic Garden was buzzing with activity as community members came together for our Nest Box Paint and Repair Workshop.

Last Friday, Up2Us had the pleasure of visiting Mansfield Primary School to spend an hour with the Grade 1 students learning about the important role trees play in supporting wildlife.

A couple of weeks ago, Up2Us Landcare Alliance teamed up with Mansfield Primary School for a day of hands-on environmental learning with all of the Grade 5 students.
