Up2Us Landcare Alliance is excited to announce that we have been awarded $50,000 through the Victorian Government’s Partnerships Against Pests (PAP) program for our project: ‘Rooted in Resilience – Collaborative Solutions for Blackberry and Gorse’.

Last Friday, twelve local landholders joined Up2Us Landcare Alliance at Gonzaga Reserve, Barwite, for an informative session on willow management and river health.

Last week, 26 participants joined Up2Us Landcare Alliance for Chemical User (ACUP) & 1080/PAPP training at Bonnie Doon Community Centre.

Local landholders are invited to join the Upper Broken Landcare Group for an informative and practical Willow Control Workshop to be held at Gonzaga Reserve. The event will run from 10:00am to 1:00pm and aims to equip landholders with the knowledge and tools needed to effectively manage willows along their waterways.

Landholders in the Mansfield Shire now have the opportunity to complete essential chemical training without the hassle of travelling long distances or paying full price. Thanks to generous subsidies, two practical courses are being offered locally for just $50 per person – a huge saving from the usual $380 fee.

Samantha Armstrong, Engagement Officer for Vertebrate Pests at Agriculture Victoria, shared expert insights into integrated rabbit control, emphasising strategies like coordinated baiting, warren destruction, and timing interventions with rabbit breeding cycles.
