Northern Rivers Roundup in Nagambie

Last week Kim, Rhiannon and Jess attended the Northern Rivers Roundup in Nagambie, an event designed to bring together Landcare facilitators and coordinators from across the Goulburn Broken and North Central regions of Victoria. The Roundup provided a fantastic opportunity to share knowledge, discuss local and regional challenges, and explore new ideas for collaboration and future projects.

Over the two days, participants joined a series of engaging workshops covering communication, media, and project management. These sessions offered practical tools and insights that will help strengthen how we deliver and share the work of Landcare within our communities.

A highlight of the Roundup was a visit to the wetlands at Tahbilk Winery, where we learned about the winery’s journey in caring for and restoring their unique environment. It was inspiring to see how sustainable practices can be woven into both land management and business operations.

The Northern Rivers Roundup was also a valuable chance to catch up with familiar faces and make new connections across the region. Events like these remind us of the strength of the Landcare network and the benefits of working together to protect and enhance our natural landscapes.
