Draft National Threat Abatement Plan

The draft national Threat Abatement Plan for predation by the European red fox is now out for public comment. Released by the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW), it would replace the current plan, which dates from 2008. The draft sets out a coordinated national approach to reducing the impact of foxes on native wildlife. It covers improved control and management, stronger monitoring and reporting, support for research and innovation, and better coordination between governments, land managers and other stakeholders. Read the draft plan and its supporting background document, then take the survey or upload a submission on the DCCEEW consultation hub Read the draft and complete the Survey HERE. Submissions close at 5:00pm AEDT on Friday, 29 January 2027.
