Working Together to Care for Ford’s Creek

Local community members recently came together at Ford’s Creek for a hands-on weed control event, helping to protect and improve the health of this important local waterway.

The session focused on practical weed control techniques, including hand weeding and the ‘cut and paste’ method for treating unwanted plants. Participants had the opportunity to learn more about identifying and managing weeds while working together to tackle problem areas along the creek.

The event is part of a series of monthly community activities focused on Ford’s Creek. These regular sessions provide an opportunity for local people to get involved, meet new people, and learn practical skills and make a positive contribution to the health of the creek and surrounding environment.
