Subsidised Chemical User Training Available
Up2Us is pleased to announce funding has been secured through the Partnerships Against Pests program to provide subsidised Agricultural Chemical Users Permit (ACUP) training for local landholders. This valuable opportunity supports our community's efforts to effectively manage pest animals and weeds on private property.
ACUP Course
The one-day subsidised course covers the essential qualifications needed to attain an Agriculture chemical users permit (ACUP), a national requirement to purchase schedule 7 herbicides for weed control.
AHCCHM307 — Prepare and apply chemicals to control pest, weeds and diseases and;
AHCCHM304 — Transport and store chemicals.
1080 and PAPP
For those specifically involved in rabbit and other vertebrate pest management, 22661VIC — Course in Minimising Risks in the Use of 1080 and PAPP Bait Products for Vertebrate Pest Control.
These courses represent an excellent opportunity to gain proper certification at a reduced cost, learning best practices for safe and effective chemical application. Obtaining these qualifications is essential for anyone using restricted chemicals as part of an integrated pest management approach, particularly for rabbit control where 1080 baiting is often a crucial first step before warren destruction.
If you are interested in these two nationally recognised courses please fill out the form below and an Up2Us staff member will be in touch.
