Introducing Our New Donation Page

We are pleased to announce that Up2Us Landcare Alliance is now a registered charity accepting tax-deductible donations, which directly supports us to continue the valuable work we do within our community. Contributions can be made toward one of three categories, allowing donors to allocate their support to the initiative most relevant to their interests. Donors may choose to make a one-off contribution or establish a regular donation, depending on their preference. Read about each of the three categories below.

Planting trees for a greener future

Native vegetation cover underpins the health of the local ecosystem. It stabilises soil, moderates local temperatures, supports air and water quality, and provides habitat for local wildlife. Funds directed to this category support the sourcing of native seedlings, equipment for volunteers, guards and stakes, and the ongoing maintenance required to establish trees successfully over time.

Nest boxes for our native wildlife

Mature, hollow-bearing trees can take many decades to develop the natural cavities that species such as possums, gliders, owls, and parrots depend on for shelter and breeding. In areas where such trees have been lost, such as regions affected by fire or land clearing, nest boxes provide valuable interim protection to our wildlife. Contributions to this category fund the necessary materials and construction of the boxes to be installed where they are needed most.

Free nature education for local schools

The long-term protection and enhancement of our environment relies upon the knowledge and empowerment of the next generation. Donation to this category supports educational programs, workshops, and hands-on learning experiences delivered in to our local publicly funded schools, covering areas such as biodiversity, wildlife monitoring, sustainable land management and environmental stewardship. It represents an investment in building awareness and responsibility among young people in our community.
