Help Shape Our New Women in Ag Network
Are you a woman who works in, studies, or is passionate about agriculture or land management? Then we want to hear from you!
Up2Us Landcare Alliance is excited to announce the development of a brand new initiative: WAg – Women in Ag, a local network and workshop series created by women, for women. This project aims to support, empower and connect women in our region who are involved in or interested in agriculture, environmental stewardship, and rural community life.
We know women play a vital role in the agriculture sector — from on-the-ground work and running businesses to supporting communities and leading innovation. That’s why we are creating spaces to share knowledge, build practical skills, and foster meaningful connections through a series of events, workshops, and guest speaker sessions.
But before we begin, we need your voice.
We’re inviting you to complete a short Expression of Interest and Questionnaire to help shape the future of the WAg network. Your feedback will guide the topics we cover, the format and timing of events, and who we invite to speak or lead sessions.
We’re asking:
What topics interest you most? (e.g. drought resilience, mental health, agritech, business planning)
What times and formats suit you best?
What ideas do you have for speakers or practical sessions?
Who can get involved?
Women who work in, study, or are interested in agriculture, natural resource management, or rural leadership — this network is for you.
We’re looking forward to building a strong and supportive community together. Let’s make the WAg network something that truly reflects and supports the needs of women in our region.
