Gonzaga plantings with Upper Broken Landcare

A big thank you to the 15 volunteers who joined Upper Broken Landcare’s tree planting at Gonzaga Reserve on Sunday! Together we planted 100 indigenous trees, shrubs and grasses, filling in gaps along the Old Tolmie Road plantings to create a thriving, layered habitat.

It was great to see how well past plantings are growing, with recycled guards and stakes helping keep costs down and protect the young plants. The sun was shining, the kids loved exploring the reserve, and all plants were in the ground just in time before the rain arrived a few days later.

Another great effort from Upper Broken Landcare and Gonzaga Reserve locals.
