Fords Creek Volunteer Session
Our final volunteer session for the year took place today along the beautiful Fords Creek at the Mansfield Botanic Garden. Despite the warm weather, three dedicated volunteers — including Councillor Bonnie Clark and Mansfield Shire’s James Alcaniz — joined us to tackle some much-needed weeding and help care for this important urban waterway.
During the session, the team was delighted to discover a willy wagtail nest, a small but special reminder of the wildlife that depends on the health of Fords Creek and its surrounding habitat.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who volunteered their time throughout the year. Your ongoing support helps us continue improving and protecting this valued community space.
Our volunteer sessions will return next year — stay tuned for dates and opportunities to get involved.
