Across Mansfield Shire, years of land clearing, changing land use, and environmental pressures have left many areas with reduced native vegetation, impacting wildlife habitat, water quality and the resilience of our local environment. Through our tree planting program, Up2Us Landcare Alliance works with landholders, community groups, volunteers and local schools to establish thousands of native trees, shrubs and grasses each year. These plantings reconnect fragmented habitats, provide food and shelter for wildlife, improve soil health, reduce erosion, protect waterways and help capture carbon for future generations.
