Nest boxes for our native wildlife

The recent devastating bushfires across north-east Victoria destroyed more than trees—they wiped out up to 98% of tree hollows that are relied upon by countless native birds, gliders, possums and bats for shelter and breeding. With natural hollows taking decades, and often centuries, to form, many species have been left without safe places to nest and raise their young.

Through our nest box program, Up2Us Landcare Alliance is helping restore this critical habitat. Working alongside community partners, volunteers and local schools, we build, assemble and install specially designed nest boxes that provide immediate homes for native wildlife while our forests recover. Every nest box gives another animal the opportunity to survive and thrive.

Unfortunately, funding for this work is limited, but your donation will help us continue building and installing nest boxes where they are needed most. From purchasing materials to supporting volunteer workshops and expanding habitat across our region, every contribution has a direct impact on wildlife recovery.
