Celebrating Our Volunteers This National Volunteer Week
This week, we are celebrating the incredible volunteers who help make everything we do possible at Up2Us Landcare Alliance as part of National Volunteer Week.
Across our region, volunteers play an essential role in caring for our landscapes, waterways, wildlife and community. From ecological monitoring and citizen science projects, to planting days, weed control, committee leadership and supporting our MASS nursery, volunteers are at the heart of so much of what we do.
Our volunteers contribute in many different ways — helping restore habitat along Fords Creek and the Great Victorian Rail Trail, monitoring wildlife and nest boxes, assisting with community environmental projects, sharing local knowledge and helping connect people with nature.
Over the past year alone, volunteers have helped support wildlife monitoring activities, school education sessions, revegetation projects, citizen science programs and countless on-ground environmental works across the Mansfield Shire. Their passion, generosity and commitment help strengthen both our environment and our community.
To every volunteer who has supported Up2Us over the years — thank you. Your contribution is deeply appreciated, and the impact you make can be seen right across our region.
We’d also love to hear from our community — if there’s a volunteer who has made a difference to you or our local environment, we encourage you to give them a shout out on our social media pages this week.
