Fodder

The Victorian Farmers Federation (VFF) through its Emergency Fodder Support Program is coordinating the donation of fodder and delivery of fodder to bushfire impacted farmers - click here for more information.

Agistment

Need Agistment?

The VFF is unable to offer agistment, but if you have been impacted by the bushfires and need agistment support, please contact the VFF via vff@vff.org.au with your name, email address, phone number, animal details and location.

Offers of agistment

If you can provide agistment the VFF can upload offers of agistment here. Please contact the VFF via vff@vff.org.au with your name, email address, phone number, amount of land available for agistment and livestock it’s suitable for, and your location.

Animals & recovery information

If your property has been impacted by bushfire and you have urgent animal welfare needs, please contact the VicEmergency Hotline on 1800 226 226.

You can report any dead or injured animals, crop loss or damage, or fodder or water needs by completing the Loss and Damage Assessment Form. This information will help Agriculture Victoria direct its recovery efforts.

Agriculture Victoria’s On-farm bushfire recovery resources webpages include lots of practical bushfire recovery information on: livestock, water, feed and stock containment areas, horses and pets, horticulture, pasture, re-fencing, weeds etc.

There’s a wide range of financial and other assistance available for those who have been impacted by the bushfires – see recovery support including for primary producers see - financial assistance after a bushfire.

Fencers Without Boundaries

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

Upper Goulburn Landcare Network are calling out for skilled and unskilled volunteers to assist us with our Fire Recovery fencing project - Fencers Without Boundaries.

Experience in fencing would be helpful but not essential as a lot of the initial work is removing the burnt and damaged fencing.

Protective equipment, water and lunches are provided.

BlazeAid

BlazeAid is a volunteer-based organisation (established in 2009 after Black Saturday Bushfires) to enable volunteers to provide practical assistance to landholders and farmers impacted by bushfires with tasks such as clearing debris, rolling up and repairing damaged fencing, and re-fencing.

BlaizeAid has established a number of camps in bushfire-impacted areas of Victoria – see current camps.

Granite to Goulburn Biodiversity Recovery Alliance

The Biodiversity Recovery Alliance is made up of environmental groups working together to restore the Granite to Goulburn landscape following the Longwood bushfires of January 2026.

We are experienced, ready, and already have expert networks in place. We have a plan. We need your help to activate this plan, and we need to move fast. Volunteer, donate, or get in touch to strengthen our alliance.

Wildlife have been heavily impacted by the fires, animals killed and injured, habitats destroyed food and water availability lost. WIRES - Water for wildlife. In the wake of the catastrophic drought and fires in 2019-2020, WIRES launched the Water For Wildlife program to provide long-term access to supplementary water for arboreal wildlife impacted by emergency events.

Help for Injured Wildlife - This tool will help you locate and contact the closest relevant wildlife carers and rescue and rehabilitation organisations to help the injured animal. Please note this is for native wildlife in Victoria only.
