Up2Us Landcare Alliance offers subsidies and support to assist private landholders in controlling woody weeds across the Mansfield Shire. Funding is limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Individual Landholder Rebates

Receive 50% back (up to $350) for the cost of woody weed-specific herbicides or services from a local weed contractor.

Group Incentives for Neighbouring Landholders

Landholders working together on a strategic multi-property weed control program can receive:

• 50:50 co-contribution (up to $450 per property)

• Minimum of three properties required to qualify

Bonus for Coordinators

An additional $100 incentive is available to the lead landholder coordinating the group program—helping motivate collaboration across property boundaries.

On-site Weed Control Planning

Book an individual site visit with our Up2Us Weed Coordinator to develop a 4-year weed management plan tailored to your property or area. These site visits are free of charge a great opportunity to understand the woody weed burden on your property with a property specific plan on how best to control and manage your woody weeds.

Annual Woody Weed Control Workshop

Each year Up2Us run a 3 hour woody weed control workshop with a local weed contractor. With information on best practice weed control, advice on what chemicals and equipment to use, and any permits that may be required. A practical demonstration using spray equipment is a highlight.

Spray Unit Hire

A 200-litre spray unit with a 30-metre hose is available for hire to assist with woody weed spraying on your property.
