Goulburn Murray Landcare Network’s Extension Training

Goulburn Murray Landcare Network is pleased to be delivering Landcare Extension training in 2027.

Topics that will be covered over the four day intensive workshop include:

  • Cultural land management with the Yorta Yorta Nation, including traditional owner-led tours of the Boronia seed orchard and Djakitj bush food farm

  • Introduction to Landcare, with site tours, revegetation work and a hands-on seed collection demonstration

  • Dairy Day featuring milking robots, camels and goats

  • Industrial hemp crop tour, plus a presentation from the Victorian Hemp Association on hemp products

  • Evening networking dinner

  • Cropping and soils day, including farm tours and a practical soil biology and Brix testing class with Soil Land Food

  • A visit to the Fruit Bowl region and Kyabram Fauna Park, focused on threatened species conservation

  • Further farm tours throughout the program, with a wrap-up session to close

When: Monday 15 February to Thursday 18 February 2027

Where: Echuca, Victoria. All travel during the week will be by bus.

What’s included: Four days of training in Landcare Extension. Food and accommodation for the week.  All transport during the week is included. Accommodation available on the Sunday evening beforehand if required. Please note it will be a 9am start on the Monday.

What’s not included: Travel to and from Echuca.

Expressions of Interest (EOIs) are now open for this training opportunity. Submitting an EOI does not guarantee a place, as places are limited. EOIs will be assessed as they are received against the program's eligibility and selection criteria, so we encourage you to apply early. Priority may be given to applicants who have not previously participated in Scaling Success training. A short phone conversation may be required to confirm eligibility and suitability. Once available places have been filled, the EOI process may close and no further applications or interviews will be undertaken. EOIs will close on October 31 2026.
