Euroa Arboretum is pleased to be delivering Landcare Extension training in 2027 and 2028 with the theme ‘Relationship building with country and each other’.

Topics that will be covered over the three day intensive workshop include:

• Reading Country – what is country telling you?  How does this influence your restoration goals, how you farm and how you respond to your patch of ground to encourage the best outcome?

• Slowing down water, and water for everyone – how to restore your farm dam or wetland for wildlife and farm animals.

• Native grasslands – managing actively for diversity.  Working from the basis of healthy country means healthy people, how we manage our landscape influences our physical and mental health. Exploring how we implement land management activities and consider what that means for our health.  What is the perspective of our Traditional Owners, and how can we work more collaboratively with our local mobs.

• Seed supply – where does our seed come from?  How do we build diversity, genetic health and quantity?  How do we ensure our seed supply and sales reflect the needs and aspirations of our Traditional Owners?

• Respecting and working on local knowledge – how to build relationships and shared outcomes with local landholders, local Indigenous custodians and industry practitioners.

Where: Euroa, Victoria. All travel during the week will be by bus.

What’s included: Three days of training in Landcare Extension. Food and accommodation for the week.  All transport during the week is included.

What’s not included: Travel to and from Euroa.
